About WaifuRealm

WaifuRealm is an AI character creation and chat application for Android, developed by ZIK. The app enables users to create custom AI characters ("waifus") and engage in immersive, roleplay-style conversations with them. All core features are designed to work locally on your device, with future support for cloud integration.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WaifuRealm, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Data Storage and Privacy

• Local-First Operation: WaifuRealm stores all user and character data locally on your device using Room database technology. No personal data is transmitted to external servers unless you explicitly enable future cloud features.
• No Account Required: The app does not require login or account creation for core features. All user profiles, characters, and chat histories are stored locally.
• Account Deletion: If you create an account, you can delete it at any time from within the app. Account deletion will remove your user data from the device.
• AI Conversations: AI chat is powered exclusively by Firebase AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash). Only the necessary chat context is sent to Firebase for processing; no unrelated personal data is shared.
• Chat Storage: Chat histories are stored only on your device and are never uploaded or stored in the cloud.
• Privacy by Design: Your character creations, chat logs, and profile photos remain private on your device unless you choose to back up or share them.

User Responsibilities

• Data Backup: You are responsible for backing up your device and app data. WaifuRealm does not provide built-in cloud backup at this time.
• Device Security: Protect your device from unauthorized access. All app data is stored locally and is only as secure as your device.
• Appropriate Use: Use WaifuRealm for lawful, personal entertainment purposes. Do not use the app to create or share harmful, offensive, or illegal content.

Limitations and Disclaimers

• No Warranty: WaifuRealm is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• AI Limitations: AI-generated responses are for entertainment only and may not always be accurate, appropriate, or error-free. The developer is not responsible for the content generated by AI characters.
• Data Loss: The developer is not liable for any data loss, corruption, or device issues resulting from use of the app.
• Device Compatibility: WaifuRealm is designed for Android devices and may not function on all device models or OS versions.

Liability

The developer, ZIK, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use WaifuRealm, including but not limited to data loss, AI-generated content, or device issues.

Updates and Modifications

These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. Continued use of WaifuRealm after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Important Data Notice

Chats and custom images (including profile images and custom waifu avatars) are not synced to any cloud storage. They remain local on your device only. If you sign in to your account on a different device, your chats and custom waifu avatars will not be synced or transferred. Please back up your device if you wish to preserve this data.

Chatting Quality

By default, free users will receive basic, bland responses from the AI characters. Premium users, however, gain access to high quality, realistic, and explicit roleplay responses for a more immersive experience.
