VibeCut – Terms & Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 26, 2026
This document covers the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for VibeCut, a mobile app developed by Zahid
Khalilov. By using VibeCut, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What VibeCut Does
VibeCut is a chat-based video editor. You import a vertical video clip and describe the edit you want in
plain English (e.g. "cut the first 4 seconds" or "add bold centered text"). An AI assistant interprets
your request and applies the edit. There is no timeline — every edit is driven by what you type.
Summary: Your video stays and is processed on your own device. Only the text you type
(your edit request) is sent to our AI provider to figure out what you want done — never your video or
audio.
How Your Prompts Are Handled
When you type an edit request, that text is sent to a third-party AI service to interpret it into an
editing action (like a trim, a text overlay, or a speed change). We don't use your prompts for
advertising, and prompts are not reviewed by us individually — they pass through the AI provider
automatically to generate the requested edit.
How Your Videos Are Handled
All video processing — trimming, text overlays, speed changes, exporting — happens locally on your device.
Your video and audio are never uploaded to our servers or to any AI provider. The AI
only ever sees the text of your request, never your footage. Your project files (video, edit history)
stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them yourself.
Account & Data We Store
- VibeCut uses Google Sign-In to identify your account and keep your purchase and usage status synced
across devices.
- We store basic account data (your Google account ID, daily AI-edit usage count, purchase/subscription
status) in our cloud database. We do not store your videos, images, or edit prompts in the cloud.
- To request deletion of your account data, email us at the address below.
Purchases and Subscriptions
- VibeCut offers a free daily quota of AI edits. Additional one-time "edit pack" top-ups can be
purchased and do not expire or renew.
- VibeCut Pro is available as a weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription, processed
through the platform you purchased on (Google Play or Apple App Store).
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current
billing period, via Google Play or your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds follow
Google Play's or
Apple's refund
policy.
- Access to Pro features and purchased top-ups continues until the end of the paid period after
cancellation; top-ups are one-time purchases and don't expire.
User Responsibilities
- Only import and edit videos you own or have the right to use.
- Don't use VibeCut to create or edit content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on someone else's
rights.
- Don't attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the AI assistant or backend services.
Photo & Video Library Access
VibeCut requests access to your photo library only to let you import a clip to edit and save your
finished export back to your camera roll. This access is used only when you actively import or save a
video.
Disclaimers
- VibeCut is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the AI assistant will always interpret every request
exactly as intended.
- We're not liable for lost projects, device issues, or dissatisfaction with an edit result.
Changes to This Policy
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of VibeCut after changes are posted means you accept
the updated terms. The "Last Updated" date above will reflect any material change.
