Tilewright — Terms of Use & Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
Privacy at a glance: Tilewright has no sign-in and no user account. Your progress is stored on your device and mirrored to an anonymous cloud backup record keyed to a random device identifier. The only personal detail that record can hold is a display name you type in yourself. The app shows ads and sells optional coin packs; both are handled by third-party services described below.
1. About Tilewright
Tilewright is a block-puzzle game with a turn-based role-playing campaign, for iOS and Android. You drag shaped pieces onto an 8×8 grid and fill rows and columns to clear them and build combos. The headline mode is the Boss Campaign, a turn-based puzzle-RPG in which cleared lines deal damage to bosses that telegraph attacks, bury the grid, and lock parts of the board; you earn abilities, collect passive relics, and unlock permanent upgrades between runs. The app also includes a Classic endless mode, a Daily Challenge, and Sticker Blast. The game runs offline; an internet connection is only used for cloud backup, ads, and purchases.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or playing Tilewright, you agree to these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Tilewright. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
4. Permitted Use
- Personal Use: Tilewright is intended for personal, non-commercial entertainment use.
- Lawful Use: You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
- No Reverse Engineering: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, art, sounds, or other assets bundled with the app.
- No Interference: You may not use tools, modified clients, or techniques that tamper with scores, currency balances, or campaign progress.
5. How the Game Works
- Four ways to play: Boss Campaign (a roguelike run of turn-based boss fights), Classic (an endless high-score mode), Daily Challenge (three shared goals, refreshed each day for every player), and Sticker Blast (a themed mode with its own artwork and a Hype Meter).
- A combo system rewards clearing multiple lines in one move and chaining clears across turns.
- Power-ups — Undo, Refresh Tray, and Revive — cost in-game coins.
- The Boss Campaign adds abilities, passive relics, in-run and permanent currencies, and a between-run shop.
- A daily login streak grants bonus coins, with a larger reward on the seventh day.
- High scores and campaign progress are stored on your device and backed up as described in Section 10.
6. Virtual Currency (Coins)
- Coins are an in-game virtual currency. They can be earned through play (Classic mode scoring, the daily login streak, and optional rewarded ads) or bought through the in-app shop.
- Spending: Coins are spent on power-ups, unlockable themes, and Boss Campaign items and revives. The game shows the cost before deducting coins.
- No Real-World Value: Coins have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, goods, or services outside the app.
- Non-Transferable: Coins and progress are tied to your device backup record and cannot be transferred or sold.
- Non-Refundable: Coins spent in the game are final. Coins remaining in your balance are not refundable.
7. In-App Purchases
- Optional purchases: Tilewright offers optional one-time purchases of coin packs. The game is fully playable without buying anything.
- Billing: Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to each platform's payment terms. We never receive or store your payment details.
- Entitlements: Purchase processing and validation are handled with the help of RevenueCat. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for their data practices.
- Refunds: Refund requests for real-money purchases must be submitted to the App Store or Google Play in accordance with their policies. The developer cannot process store refunds directly.
- Crediting: Coin packs are credited to your backup record when bought. If a purchase is charged but not credited, contact us at the email below.
8. Advertising
- Tilewright displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, and opt-in rewarded ads (rewarded ads grant coins in exchange for watching).
- AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
- Where required, the app presents a consent prompt (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before requesting personalized ads, and it respects your choice. You can review that choice again from the app's Settings screen where applicable, and you can limit ad tracking through your device settings.
9. Privacy and Data
- No Account, No Sign-In: Tilewright has no login, sign-up, Google or Apple sign-in, or identity verification of any kind. It never asks for your name, email, phone number, or contacts.
- What is stored about you: your game progress and stats, high score, coin balance, daily streak, Daily Challenge and Boss Campaign progress, your settings, and a display name if you choose to set one. The display name is optional and free-form — please do not enter personal information into it.
- Device identifier: To back up and restore progress without an account, the app uses an identifier derived from your device — on Android, the system Android ID; on iOS, a random UUID stored in the device keychain. This is not your advertising ID and is not shared for advertising.
- No first-party analytics: The app itself contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Third-party services (Google AdMob, the App Store / Google Play, RevenueCat) collect data under their own policies as described in these terms.
- No selling of data: We do not sell your data. The only data leaving your device is the backup record described in Section 10 and the data collected by the third-party services named in these terms.
10. Data Storage, Backup, and Deletion
- Local storage: Your progress, settings, and display name are stored locally on your device.
- Cloud backup: The same data is mirrored to Google's Cloud Firestore in a single document keyed to the device identifier described in Section 9. There is no authentication layer; the record is designed so that your own device can read it back after a reinstall or on a new device. It contains no sensitive personal information beyond an optional self-chosen display name.
- Purpose: The backup exists only to preserve your progress. It is not used for profiling, marketing, or advertising.
- Deleting local data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
- Deleting your backup: Because there is no account, we cannot look you up by name or email. To have your cloud backup record deleted, email the address below from the affected device (or include the device identifier shown in the app where available) and we will delete the corresponding record.
11. Permissions
- Internet: Used for cloud backup, advertisements, and in-app purchases. Core gameplay does not require a connection.
- Vibration: Used for haptic feedback during play. Can be turned off in Settings.
- Notifications: Used only for an optional local reminder about your daily streak (see Section 12). Can be turned off in your device settings.
- No sensitive permissions: Tilewright does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or files.
12. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules a single local reminder on your device to help you keep your daily coin streak. These reminders are generated on the device — there is no push server, and no notification data is sent anywhere. Declining or disabling notifications does not affect gameplay.
13. Intellectual Property
- App Assets: The Tilewright name, logo, icon, interface, piece and board art, boss and campaign artwork, sound effects, and all other built-in assets are the intellectual property of the developer and may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without permission.
- User Content: Tilewright does not host user-generated content. Any display name you set is stored in your own backup record only and is not shown to other players.
14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- No Warranty: Tilewright is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Availability: We do not guarantee that the app, its cloud backup, ads, or purchases will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times.
- Data Loss: The developer is not responsible for loss of progress, coins, high scores, or campaign state resulting from uninstalling the app, device failure, storage issues, OS updates, or a backup service outage.
- Daily Content: The Daily Challenge offers a limited window each day; missed or failed daily attempts cannot be reset by the developer.
- Device Compatibility: The app targets current iOS and Android devices and may not behave identically across all configurations, OS versions, or screen sizes.
- Third-Party Services: We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services integrated with the app, including Google AdMob, Google Cloud Firestore, RevenueCat, and the App Store and Google Play.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the application.
15. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy from time to time. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page. Game features, power-up costs, and coin prices may also change between app versions. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
