About PomoTask

PomoTask is a simple Pomodoro timer application independently developed by Zahid Khalilov as the sole developer. The app is designed to help students and learners improve focus and productivity by breaking study sessions into structured intervals using the Pomodoro Technique. PomoTask works entirely offline — no internet connection, account, or cloud service is required.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PomoTask, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the application.

Use of the Application

• Personal Use: PomoTask is intended for personal, non-commercial use to manage focus sessions and productivity.
• Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years of age to use this application. By using PomoTask, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
• Lawful Use: You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

How PomoTask Works

PomoTask implements the Pomodoro Technique — a time management method that alternates focused work intervals (typically 25 minutes) with short breaks (typically 5 minutes), and longer breaks after a set number of completed sessions. The app allows you to:

• Set and customize work session and break durations
• Track completed Pomodoro sessions
• Manage a task list to organize what you are working on
• Receive timer notifications to signal session transitions

Privacy and Data Collection

• Fully Offline: PomoTask operates entirely on your device. No data — including your tasks, session history, or settings — is ever transmitted to any external server or cloud service.
• Local Storage Only: All app data, including your tasks and preferences, is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app will permanently delete this data.
• No Account Required: PomoTask does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information.
• No Authentication: The app includes no login, sign-up, or identity verification of any kind.
• Analytics: The app may collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (such as crash reports and feature usage) to help improve the application. No personally identifiable information is collected or transmitted.
• Advertising: PomoTask may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks. These networks may collect certain device identifiers and usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.

Notifications and Permissions

• Notification Permission: PomoTask may request permission to send notifications to alert you when a work session or break has ended. This permission is used solely to deliver timer alerts.
• Alarm / Exact Alarm Permission: On some Android versions, the app may request permission to schedule precise alarms to ensure timer accuracy even when the app is in the background.
• No Other Permissions: PomoTask does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, files, or any other sensitive device resources.

Intellectual Property

• Your Tasks: Any task names or notes you enter into PomoTask remain entirely your own. The developer claims no ownership over your content.
• App Assets: The PomoTask name, icon, interface design, and all built-in assets are the intellectual property of the developer and may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without permission.

Limitations and Disclaimers

• No Warranty: PomoTask is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Timer Accuracy: While we strive for accurate timing, the app's timer behavior may be affected by Android battery optimization settings, device manufacturer restrictions, or background process limitations. We do not guarantee perfect timer precision in all conditions.
• Data Loss: Since all data is stored locally, the developer is not responsible for any loss of tasks or session data resulting from app uninstallation, device failure, or storage issues.
• Device Compatibility: The app is designed for Android devices and may not function correctly on all device configurations, OS versions, or screen sizes.
• Third-Party Services: The app may integrate with third-party services (e.g., ad networks, analytics). We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

Limitation of Liability

The developer, Zahid Khalilov, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, PomoTask. This includes but is not limited to loss of task data, missed timer alerts, or any impact on your productivity or study outcomes resulting from use of the application.

Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to PomoTask at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms and Conditions or is otherwise harmful to other users, the developer, or third parties.
